This is the first edition of New Generation monthly newsletter, reporting on current events and contemporary teachings. Right now we will focus on the outpouring in Lakeland Florida. I personally (Don) have gone three times to the revival meetings in Lakeland and have seen significant transformation not only in my personal life, but also in family and ministry. New generation Ministries and team are fully committed to back and support the Lakeland out pouring. We feel Fresh Fire Ministries have been sovereignty raised up to administrate this outpouring until the entire world is ignited with this healing revival. The signs of the Kingdom of Heaven are fully present; the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, the dead are raised back to life, and the gospel of the Kingdom is preached. Blessed is He who is not offended at God's ordination and choice of revivalist Todd Bentley. Cheryl and I have been friends with Todd for about ten years, and have been involved in healing/prophetic conferences over the years. We have always been impacted by the unusual level of signs and wonders that have accompanied his ministry almost right from the beginning. As the body of Christ we need to appreciate men and women that the Lord has been raising up to restore back to the church the Kingdom message. Sometimes the new forerunners are misunderstood by the former generation who are set in their ways, and view the reformation with suspicion. Traditionally the former move of God criticizes the new move of God, especially the new forerunners. Obviously to some degree the Lakeland outpouring is no exception. To my astonishment with reports of tens of thousands of healings and over twenty five reports of people being raised from the dead, critics want to invalidate this move of God. My statement to the critics is: Are you in danger of swallowing camels as you swat at the gnats!

“You blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.” (Matthew 23:24) KJ Version of the New Testament.

“But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, and saying we piped unto you, and you have not danced, we have mourned unto you, and you have not lamented……But wisdom is justified by her children.” (Matthew 11: 16-19) KJ Version of the New Testament.

Even Jesus was attacked by the religious spirit of His day. The Pharisees were in constant contention with His ministry, and challenged His authority. They believed Him to be a “false prophet,” and an “imposter” who violated the Sabbaths. Jesus threatened to break up religious systems that the masses abided by. Jesus appeared to break the rules, and rebel against the priests and synagogue authorities. Our experience with the religious spirit is when the Holy Spirit shows up and the Kingdom of heaven breaks the religious bondage, breaking down the walls that hold men in slavery. As the power of God shows up, those with religious spirits, fight the move of God. Within this type of deception are several types of people who want to believe they are protecting the people. But in reality put people under bondage.

The first type of person has integrity and genuinely believes that what they are resisting is in defense of the faith. I would compare this type of individual to the disciples of John the Baptist. John’s disciples were sent to Jesus to question His validity as the Messiah. The disciples of John practiced so differently compared to what Jesus was doing in training His disciples. The contrast was almost the exact opposite, they fasted and denied themselves and lived a separated life unto God. While Jesus was a friend of sinners and ate and drank in their homes. Even John who baptized Jesus and heard the audible voice from heaven seemed to be confused, and sent his disciples to question Jesus

“Now when John heard in prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto Him, Art thou the one who should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto to them, Go and show John those things which you do see and hear: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached unto them. And blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Matthew 11:2-6) KJ Version of the New Testament.

Today we have this type of modern day disciple of John. Who is genuinely a true Disciple of Christ? Goes to Churches where the power of signs and wonders, and healings are never demonstrated. Are genuinely ignorant concerning the work of the Holy Spirit. They attack and criticize out of fear and ignorance. But upon closer examination of what has been occurring in the Lake land Florida outpouring, with an open heart they can discover their theological practice is not in accordance with the ministry of Jesus. Did signs and wonders pass away with the completion of scripture? Or is that just what your church has taught you to believe. Can millions of people world wide who are experiencing the power of God, some how be involved in some great delusion? Or just maybe the ministry of Jesus still continues today just like back in the days He ministered with His disciples. Only today the Spirit of the Resurrected Lord continues to work the works of the Lord Jesus Christ through willing modern day disciples.

“Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12) KJ Version of the New Testament

Jesus trained His disciples to walk in His healing authority, and demonstrate the power of the Kingdom of heaven. Further more in speaking to the disciples of John He pointed out the work of healing miracles validated that he was sent as the “Anointed” one the Christ, the Lord God of heaven. Jesus destroyed the works of the devil, and brought the kingdom of darkness to destruction, through His ministry, and ultimately by His resurrection. He wants all of His church trained to walk in His authority and demonstrate the signs and wonders of the Kingdom. To heal the sick should be the normal practice of every true Christian.

Another type of person who attacks and criticizes, are those who are not a part of the kingdom of heaven, and have never dedicated their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? In this case the things of the Holy Spirit are considered foolish to them. They can even be members in good standing in their churches, and good people within their communities. But just going to church doesn’t make a person a true believer. Those who walk in the first commandment to love the Lord. And surrender their lives to the work of the cross. Who receive forgiveness of their sin, and deliverance from moral corruption? Who have a genuine change of nature from within, by receiving eternal life from Jesus Christ? Those are the true sons and daughters of the Kingdom. Others are just religious pretenders, Jesus warned the wheat and tares grow together in the same field, and sometimes cannot be recognized until they bare fruit. At this point if you may want to examine your faith. Are you truly surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you willing to appear foolish in the eyes of others? Are you willing to die to yourself so the nature of the Holy Spirit can work through you? The fruit of the Spirit and the power of the Spirit can be demonstrated through your life. And if not why are you so willing to attack others, who in their weakness, are demonstrating the signs and wonders of the Kingdom. Hasn’t thousands been converted to Christ in this revival. Or has your spiritual blindness keep you from truly exzaming what you might be afraid to see.

Finally the last person is a true hypocrite. A Pharisee to the faith, and enemy to every true move of the Holy Spirit. Jesus warned about these religious spirits. In the writings of the gospel of Matthew chapter 23 Jesus gives a through description of the religious pharisaical spirit:

A)They say and do not do: they want to make the rules that they bend and break. Outwardly the appear righteous, but behind closed doors their real lives and motives appear.

B)They bind men with heavy burdens: They are the religious legalists. True faith in Christ frees man from burdens and bondages. Religion and religious zealots enslave men in the name of God. Many churches have imprisoned their congregations under the laws of do’s and don’ts. Never freeing the people to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They want disciples under their controls and system. These kinds of hypocrisies lead to the holy wars, the result is the many church wars, and splits if the name of God. Each group being more righteous in their eyes than the one they have divided from. This kind of self righteous Christian behavior leads to prayers for the Lord to judge or destroy the opposing group, so that they can be vindicated. The opiate of religion is every so powerful, even when dressed up in Christian clothes.

C)Love to be seen by men: The many titles and positions that undermine the true government of Christ. The many manmade leaders, who follow the wisdom of this world. They care more about the appearance and reputations before men, than in the eyes of God. They are the servants of the glory of man, and not the glory of God. How many have chosen religion, and not the kingdom of heaven. They want to appear wise in their own eyes and escape the persecution of the cross.

D)Shut up the Kingdom of Heaven: Perhaps one of the greatest tests of our day. God has chosen His vessel and has appointed His place to begin this revival. Millions are pressing in to this new move of God. The religious spirit is trying to shut down these open heavens and close this gate of healing salvation. Thousands have been saved over the course of the last several months through Lakeland, and by television/internet. Who do they make themselves out to be, self appointed judges and critics, of such a mighty harvest!

E)Devour the weak and the poor: They falsely accuse the Lakeland leadership of deceiving and preying on the innocent. At the same time use the power of the media and internet to make statements that incite a negative reaction to this revival. By operating in this manner they gain a following that feed on this negativism. They have a log in their own eyes and have become guilty of doing what they judged to be deceptive in others. They end up preying on the weak and susceptible, and those easily manipulated by religious criticism. They create more schisms and divisions with people who are angry or disillusioned with the church.

F)Make false converts: Make disciples in the image of themselves and are threatened by anyone who not act or look likes them. True Disciples of Christ free men to serve the Lord in the power of the Kingdom. Religious Spirits must attack the true move of the Kingdom of heaven, because the spell of religion they have seduced with is being broken. They are loosing disciples they have enslaved under the bondages of dogma. They must fight the true move of God or else face threat of their extinction.

“O foolish Galatians who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has evidently set forth crucified among you? This I would only of you, received ye the Spirit by the works of the law or the hearing of faith? Are so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are now made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain? If it yet be in vain. He therefore the ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law of by the hearing of faith? (Galatians 3: 1-5) KJ Version of the New Testament

G)Love of money: Their lusts and greed control them. Religion is just the vehicle to control the money. They want to build their kingdom, and put on a religious show in order to deceive the unsuspecting of their true motivation. The love of money more than the love of God. They manipulate people in their giving to God, and steal the tithes and offerings that would be used for true Kingdom purposes. When real moves of God shows up they scandalize the revival and leaders over the issue of money without even checking into the facts. They create the false impression that people are being robbed lying signs and wonders just so the revivalist can get rich. When is the church going to grow up and test the spirits of these men, and discern who is truly being sent from God. Men and women who walk by faith and trust the Lord with their income can be discerned by their willingness to have their money trail open and exposed for all to see.

H)Want to control: The religious Spirit finds its authority from control and manipulation. Those who walk in the power of the Kingdom will be servants to the Lord first surrendering the control of their lives. Those must be led of the Spirit in order to execute any authority they may have in the Church, This kind of authority threatens to break the yoke of bondage that enslaves men in the name of God. Controllers will always find some excuse why they must maintain their control. One of the main techniques is to slander the authority of those they are threatened by. With this outpouring many thousands of leaders have come from all over the world, with great burning passion and hunger. Others stand afar afraid of losing the control. Fear has been substituted for true Godly authority.

I)Shed the blood of the innocent: Finally the ultimate outcome by the Parasitical religious Spirit will try to kill the try move of the Spirit of God and its messengers.

“Wherefore, behold I will send unto to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you shall kill and crucify: some of them you shall scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city.” (Matthew 23:34) KJ Version of the New Testament.

I have attempted to make a biblical statement about those who are compelled to attack and criticize the Lakeland outpouring. By no means am I stating these are the only types of people or reasons for the attacks. I am stating that since I have seen and experienced this outpouring personally, I have witnessed the relentless attempt by the powers of darkness to slenderize this move of God. Sometimes wittingly or not people fall prey and are used as tools of divisiveness. The more I have poured out this new level of signs and wonders, and healings, the religious spirit has tried to prevent me. I have come to a new understand, the enemy has a lot to loose if this healing revival breaks out all over the world. Millions will be awakened out of their religious slumber to be employed to heal the sick, reaping the harvest of nations. Billions of souls poring into the kingdom of heaven at the end of the age is the Lord’s final statement to a lost a dieing world that He has come to save. May any of those critics in a true spirit of humility come to see right before their very eyes the Bible has come alive? The sick are being healed, demons are being cast out, the dead are raised again to life, and millions are coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

WHATS HAPPENING IN NEW GENERATION MINISTRIES?

Just a brief note for those of you who are trying to follow this ministry. Cheryl and I spent a weak in Lakeland together and we sat upon the ministry platform. The entire time we moved into a new level of impact and impartation. We both came out with fresh fire upon our lives and a greater authority to demonstrate miracles for the kingdom of heaven. We were commissioned by Todd Bentley to take this outpouring back to Spokane Washington, and other regions.
Spokane Washington: Over the course of three days we saw hundreds respond to raise their hands to give witness they had been miraculously touched or healed. One person testified of being healed of Lupus. Another got out of a wheel chair where they had been bound because of pain for almost two years. We prayed for signs and wonders, and people with metal parts in their bodies found freedom from pain and new mobility. One woman reported the screws in her jaw could no longer be found in her mouth. Formerly she could feel these metal screws just by touch. With prayer for dissolving of metals; she could no longer feel them. There we also reports of cancer being healed, deafness, partial blindness, and all manner of sickness and pain.
